Half Term Holiday Week October 07

Joanne Scott, the community development worker for the Central Community Partnership, met with local residents of Pensbury Street on Saturday 20th October to explain how to add photographs and writing about the park project to this blog. Rosi from Darlington Media Group brought along some cameras for people to use. The next session will take place with workers from Groundwork who are also working with local people on the park. Everyone is welcome to come along on Wednesday 24th October at 1pm in the Groundwork office on Victoria Road.

street roof tops

Work on the park area has started and the outdoor space is changing quickly. Once the digging machines leave every day, the ground settles and its easier to imagine how the new park will look once it is completed at the end of the year.

Work is Well Under Way

Here's Emma looking over the park with Phil Dixon from the Media Workshop and talking about different ways of taking photographs to show how the Pensbury Street space is changing every week.

Welcome to Pensbury Street

Hello, and welcome to Pensbury Street. The small park in our street has needed some changes for a long time and local people have worked hard developing ideas and raising money for many years to make this happen. Work is now about to start with lots of help from Darlington Council, Groundwork, Central Community Partnership and the local community, including lots of input from young people living on the street.
